Cataclysm doesn’t improve World of Warcraft as dramatically as the free update that preceded it did, but it’s still a great expansion pack for anyone with high-level characters.
Cataclysm is a huge game changing expansion to the wildly successful World of Warcraft MMOG. It is the third expansion to the game and makes a huge number of additions, changes, and enhancements to the core game while still managing to extend the endgame by an additional 5 levels.
Cataclysm essentially evolved the original game to be more socially specific and made the game world much more dynamic through «phasing» (for those unaware, phasing is when the game world changes based on your personal characters development through quests, objectives met, etc.).
Blizzard is now disrupting that home with World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, literally tearing it apart and rebuilding it from the ground up.
